I just finished a meeting for the 7-11 Franchise group and here’s what I learned…last year 7-11 stores had a One Billion dollar increase in revenues because they are leveraging into what the culture needs right now. The culture is so time-starved people needs more convenience than ever. They need to be able to slip into a convenience store for a coffee, a sandwich, a banana, or a battery on their way to an appointment or as fill-in groceries until they can go to a larger grocery store. What does that mean to you? Anything you can do to make life more convenient for your customer will come back to you as a reward (an open wallet). Here is another tip: If business is slow take the business to where the customers are. Don’t wait for them to come to you. That’s the new 7-11 strategy for their new store.
