My advice today it exploit the power of the chocolate chip cookie! I went to a large hotel meeting and everyone was talking about the Doubletree Hotels Chocolate Chip cookie… if you’ve been there you know they give you two hot cookies when you check in. Creates amazing goodwill. So, the following week, I told that story at a grocery meeting and a man came up to me to say, “I think I could do that in my grocery store!” His name is Mark Wilson and he owns the Rocky Mountain Fresh Foods IGA in Buffalo Wyoming, So, Mark went back home and hired a woman named Laurie Logan to hand out warm chocolate chip cookies at the front door. They call her the COOKIE LADY. It was a huge success! People planned their grocery buying around those cookies. Mark claims it has accounted for a 18% increase in repeat customers. What idea can you “borrow” from another business to improve yours? Please post the wrong meeting you’ve gone to and what you learned. This is RS for the RR.
