Do You Want to Be a Relevant Leader?
By leadership author and keynote speaker Ross Shafer
I created the Relevant Leader’s Club is to keep you relevant, as a leader. Being relevant is very different from just being current. Current is being aware that your business is changing…but being relevant is making sure that you matter to your team and your customers. If you don’t matter they will leave you and nobody will care. Staying relevant (as a leader) is where I know we can have some fun. I want to be a resource for you when you have questions like:
- “How do I grow the revenue of my company?”
- “How do I find new customers with a small marketing budget?”
- “How can I attract and retain the best people?”
- And I know you worry about this one, “How can I come up with innovative ideas when I’m not feeling very creative?”
Now, I wouldn’t blame you for thinking, “I don’t know you, Ross. Why should I listen to you?” Hey, I’m skeptical too. I only want to hear advice from people who’ve really accomplished something – and done it consistently.
So let me introduce myself, in the past twenty years I’ve written eight business books (so far) some are best sellers…and I’ve produced (14) Human Resource training films on leadership, motivation, and accountability – and I spend about half of the year traveling, speaking, and consulting with Fortune 500 companies. But before that, I had a career as a network Television host and producer – won some Emmys – and I’ve also owned a number of businesses that I either started from scratch or bought out of bankruptcy to flip. I’ve been where you are and I study who succeeds, who fails, and why it happened. Then I share my findings with you because what works in a one industry (different from yours) will look totally fresh to you. Some of you are seasoned leaders but I predict you’ll have some ‘light bulb moments’ when you hear what I’ve uncovered in my travels. For those of you who are new to leadership I want you show you how to avoid the pitfalls the rest of us have experienced.
So whether you have of experience…or not so much, I know you will pick up some ideas that your competition hasn’t thought of yet. How often do I post? Typically, I post new videos every week so that you’ll have something fresh to talk about at your Monday morning meeting. Click the button below to watch the video.
If you like the idea of being a part of a top tier leaders club please subscribe to THE RELEVANT LEADERS CLUB and tell your team members about us. Better yet, since this is a club of leaders, I’d really like you to post your comments so that other leaders can benefit from your expertise and experience. That’s how we will grow a community of relevant leaders. Before I go, here are more videos and a chance to download my free eBook, RELEVANT LEADERS GUIDE.
